Vinh Moc Tunnels were amazing and well worth the trip. Khe Sanh combat Base was disappointing due to the lack of up keep and while history was amazing not in my opinion worth the 1/2 day drive.

Great tour with a fantastic guide and driver. Lots of stories, lots of background to the various sites we visited. Highly recommended

Our driver Sam was great, gave some insight to family Vietnamese life, made the driving lots of fun. Our DMZ guide Tam, enriched our tour with his own personal experiences during the Vietnam war as being been brought up in a village near the DMZ. Being at these historical sites you get a sense of the war from both sides. Great experience well worth the tour.

The tour guide was informative and knowledgable and gave us an insight to life under the communist regime before 1995 when the US embargo was lifted

This was a great tour! We came to vietnam with our friend who served at the Khe Sanh combat base, so we really appreciated the knowlegable and candid tour guide, Hoa. He had a clear understanding about what we were seeing that was original and what was representative. And he was excellent about making himself clear. We learned a lot we didnt know about the history of Vietnam. And Happi our driver was likewise friendly and gave us a great ride. Thanks!

We had a fantastic tour learning so much about the history around the Vietnam war & French occupation. Starting with Tom our driver who was very informative and an extremely safe driver with excellent English . He was happy to stop whenever we needed to use the bathroom or wanted a drink or something to eat . We then picked up our tour guide Min in Quang Tri who is a local from the area and previously lived with his mother in Khe Sanh . Min’s local knowledge and extensive historical knowledge was amazing . He was able to quote what all the US army outposts were by name and point out where all the strategic spots were including showing us historical photos from the war . It rained all day and was quite cool up in the mountains however this tour is very worth doing if you have an interest in the history of the Vietnam war . After a stop for a coffee at a picturesque cafe . We then visited Khe Sanh battle ground where Min was very good at explaining what happened in the battle . This is nothing much more than relics from the war and a small museum however quite nostalgic to have visited . Next we went to Vinh Moc tunnels where Min gave us a thorough explanation of what life was like in these tunnels. We then got to walk through part of the tunnels. The tunnels were an amazing example of engineering with 3. Different levels and housed 75,0000 people . Next we visited the DMZ and due to rain decided to view the old bridge from the car as Min explained lots about the significance of the DMZ . This tour is a very long all day tour but is worth it in my opinion due to personal interest both my husband and I have in the history of Vietnam This experience was definitely enhanced by our awesome driver Tom & tour guide Min .

Really interesting tour out to Khe Sanh and the Vinh Moc tunnels. We particularly enjoyed the tunnels as it really gave us a feel for the living conditions inside (particularly the maternity ward).

The counter staff, Nga nguyen, is lovely and enthusiastic, and her Chinese is very good. The driver is the brother of the boss, and he has a high driving skill and is serious about helping. The tour guide is the translator of Borden and Clinton, Pham Cẩm Thạch. The history and language are extremely professional, and they care about the guests' questions and photo needs. The overall freedom of travel is high, and it feels good. The guide is happy to share stories

I was blessed to have the extremely knowledge elder statesmen of the tour guides Mr Tam; having lived through the end of French colonialism and the war he was able to share not just facts learnt from a history book but also he shared his personal experiences and anecdotes - I could listen to Mr Tam all day; an amazing septuagenarian. Our driver Mr Tom was also excellent - collecting me from my hotel at 8am and returning me just after 6pm so it was a long day. Khe San FOB is now a tranquil place and it was hard to believe that only a few years ago it was the scene of a fierce battle and home to 1000s of US marines - i enjoyed exploring the trench system. After making our back down the hills it was time for lunch which tasty and cheap. Vinh Moc tunnels was an eye opening experience and totally different from the cu chi system in the south - I only needed to stoop and crawl. The system is ventilated by tunnels that lead to sea and served as an air raid shelter for locals so there were family compartments and even a maternity cave dug out of the tunnel wall - I’m told that they even had film shows down there. Our final port of call was the brigade spanning the 17th parallel - an historically significant place. As a former soldier and lover of history it was a worthwhile and fantastic day out
